KidZone Furniture was established in August, 2006 as part of Oklahoma Futon Company LLC by Dana Magill and Jacob Tomiska. Our mission was then, and still is today, to provide Oklahoma City and the surrounding area with best in quality, affordable youth furniture.

OUR STORY

We opened our little 2000 square foot showroom at 6813 North May Avenue on March 1,2001 with about fifteen futon frames and having no idea how we would be received by the public. However, what we did have was the confidence in our products knowing if we could just get the consumer in our store, then the futons would sell themselves with a little help from Jake and myself. Of course, we had our naysayers and detractors too. We were told by some that we would never  make it as just a futon shop alone, that we needed to sell mattresses and other furniture as well.  Jake and I stuck to our guns in our belief that offering the consumer futon furniture with sturdy, attractive frames, comfortable mattresses, and decorative, versatile covers, they would see for themselves the great value in today's futon sofa beds. 

Our motto has always been 'Futons Done Right!', and we know this has been the key to our success. Even today many consumers visualize futons as the old 'unfinished slatted frame and thin all-cotton mattress' futon they had in college, or those cheaply made 'metal frame with sagging thin mattress' they see or have purchased at the 'big box' stores. That is not what we are about. We sell Quality, Comfort, Function and Versatiltiy. These are the four elements that make futons a smart choice for today's consumer.   We moved into our new 10,000 square foot showroom in July 2006 at 220 Quadrum Drive in the Reno Design Center right in the heart of Oklahoma City's 'Furniture Row'. At this same time we ventured into the youth furniture line with our new KIDZONE youth department. Just like with our futon and platform beds, we are becoming known as 'the place' to purchase quality youth furniture with a large selection and affordable prices.

We are a growing company with dedicated hard working employees who believe in our mission. We believe a major key to a company's success is the way they value their employees. We all work together as a team, a single unit where no task is too big or too small for any of us. For years Jake and I did all the selling, managing, decorating, delivering, and even the cleaning of our store. We never ask anyone on our staff to do tasks that we haven't done or wouldn't do ourselves. With this philosophy it can only help us serve YOU, the consumer, with the best service and support possible.

OKFUTON.COM has been our website from our inception in 2001. For the first seven years it had been mainly informational without e-commerce capabilities. We are very proud to present to you our new KIDZONEFURNITURE.COM website which we believe is very user-friendly where you can shop in the convenience of your home or business with the ease of a few clicks from your mouse. The new KIDZONEFURNITURE.COM is a way for us to bring to you the same quality youth products we have always had available in our showroom. We realize this site is not perfect, but we always appreciate and encourage any input our customers can give us to improve this site to make your shopping experience as pleasant as possible.
